I was excited to try doTERRA’s Invigorating Scrub skincare product! I love using a good exfoliator on my face at least once or twice a week.
The fact that the doTERRA scrub includes essential oils in its ingredients made me eager to try it! Here’s my honest review of the product for you and then you can decide whether it’s for you or not.
What is doTERRA Invigorating Scrub?
Before I get into my review, let’s dive into what this product is about. According to doTERRA’s product description: “Leaving your skin feeling soft and smooth, Invigorating Scrub exfoliates and moisturizes skin while promoting an even skin tone and reducing age spots.”
That definitely got me interested to try the scrub! Reducing age spot is at the top of my list along with an even skin tone.
In addition, their product description goes on to say: “doTERRA Essential Skin Care Invigorating Scrub provides a rejuvenating and aromatic experience with CPTG Certified Pure Therapeutic Grade essential oils of Grapefruit and Peppermint. This exfoliating scrub combines jojoba beads and cruciferous vegetable extracts to leave skin looking soft and smooth, while other cutting-edge ingredients work to improve skin tone and clarity.”
I was intrigued by the jojoba beads, imagining some good exfoliating action!
Does doTERRA Invigorating Scrub Really Work?
The first time I used the Invigorating Scrub, I had a certain expectation. That is, the feeling of granules on my skin. I followed the instructions and massaged a small amount over my wet skin for about a minute.
I was disappointed that I couldn’t detect granules or feel any scrubbing action. The Invigorating Scrub was very liquidy and has a slimy feel to it. Where are the beads?
Even so, I used it accordingly.
Although I was disappointed with the texture of the product, I have to admit, my skin felt incredibly soft afterwards. Although it does not have a “scrubbing feel” the ingredients did indeed give a soft, smoothness to my skin which I liked a lot!
Although the doTERRA Invigorating Scrub left my skin feeling smooth and soft, I don’t care for the texture. I prefer a scrub with granules that I can feel. I don’t think I will purchase it again.
If you like a very light facial scrub, you may love this one! The Mud Mask gave me better results. You can read my review here.
