I am thankful that we have essential oils to support focus and concentration. In a world full of distractions, staying on task can be a challenge!
Our ability to stay focused is crucial to succeeding in all things like: work, hobbies, and everyday living. Regardless of age, the ability to stay focused is vital. It’s especially important in the early years, a time when children form habits.
I observe my grandkid’s attention spans and they seem to grow smaller and smaller by the day.
Distractions are everywhere, making it difficult to stay on task. Especially if you have a lot on your mind or are going through a tough situation.
I am preparing to move to another state after less than a year after moving cross-country! I was inspired to write this article because I am having trouble focusing too!
Improving Focus and Concentration with Essential Oils
I selected 5 essential oils that have helped me with concentration. In the past, I would have been drinking coffee all day which never worked out well!
Essential oils are a much healthier solution.
doTERRA InTune Focus blend
Created with carefully selected essential oils, InTune helps enhance and sustain a sense of focus. The blended oils work together to support efforts for those of us that have a tough time paying attention!
InTune Focus contains Frankincense, Sandalwood and Lime to help promote a sense of clarity. And you’ll also enjoy the benefits of Patchouli, Ylang Ylang and Chamomile which are calming and soothing.
Here’s a great example of usage. The classroom is the perfect place for InTune focus! Paying attention in a class setting can be a challenge for anyone. If you are not in the classroom and just need to stay on task with studying at home, that’s another great way to use this focus essential oil blend.
Diffusing it throughout the day is so helpful! You can also apply it topically to your temples or back of your neck. Another creative way to use InTune blend is drop on a clay pendant and place on a desk next to you.
Vetiver Essential Oil
If you are having trouble focusing you may want to reach for Vetiver oil. A recently published experimental study examining the effects of inhaled Vetiver essential oil found that the oil possesses refreshing properties that may make it a go-to oil for those looking to stay on task.
You can diffuse to help create a more focused environment and stay on-task.
Promote Concentration with Peppermint Essential Oil
Who doesn’t love the smell of Peppermint? It’s my afternoon delight that I use as midday pick-me-up to help improve my concentration. Sometimes in the afternoon I get a little tired with a touch of brain fog.
You can diffuse peppermint to enjoy the benefits. Your home will smell delightful too! You can also use it topically but should use a carrier oil with it.
Motivate Essential Oil Blend
There are many reasons that people lack focus and concentration. One of those is feeling discouraged. It’s harder to get things done when you lack confidence. It’s another distraction.
Motivate essential oils is a wonderful blend of mint and citrus essential oils to support courage and confidence. When I feel better in that department, my concentration and focus improve!
Motivate is a combination of Peppermint Plant, Clementine Peel, Coriander Seed, Basil Herb, Yuzu Peel, Melissa Leaf, Rosemary Leaf, and Vanilla Bean. It’s included in the Emotional Aromatherapy collection.
Rosemary Essential Oil
Have you ever just needed to “get going?” Rosemary’s stimulating properties help fight mental fatigue. Who can pay attention when you are mentally fatigued?
It can also help improve memory retention. That combination of improvements can help improve concentration.
Use it topically or diffuse it. I enjoy diffusing oils when I am home, especially if I am working!
Lack of focus and concentration can interrupt your life in a big way! If you feel like you aren’t progressing in your goals to decreased focused, essential oils may be the push you need.
If you are serious about your heath, essential oils provide a natural way to maintain focus and attention.
