Not many people associate yoga with helping with lower back pain but you would be amazed at how yoga poses can stretch and strengthen your lower back.
I have suffered from lower back problems for years and spent lots of time and money at the chiropractor. I needed to find a more lasting solution that I could manage on my own.
I was introduced to yoga stretches for lower back pain relief and found that it helped over time.
The best thing about doing yoga poses is that anyone can do them. Even though I am active and athletic, many of the poses were difficult at first. But Yoga is not about pushing yourself, it’s about doing what you can at your own pace.
That worked for me!
My back problems have reduced to the point where it rarely bothers me. I include gentle yoga stretches at least twice a week for 20 to 30 minutes.

Practice this sequence on a regular basis to get the best results. This session is only about 15 minutes so you should be able to fit it into your schedule.

Meera Hoffman guides you through relaxing yoga poses to relieve back pain. This specifically focuses on low back pain and pain caused by sciatica.
She starts out the yoga sequences with standing poses that might be more challenging for you. You’ll get some awesome stretching done in just 10 minutes.
Grab a nice soft yoga mat to prevent your hands and feet from slipping.
